The night air ushers in a brisk lay of frost that refracts first light as farmers prepare the equipment to harvest the winter barley. Combine has been a customer and staff favorite for sometime at Farmstrong so we decided to bring it back. Named for the colossal machine that harvests the barley that is the backbone of the beers, this seasonal IPA packs tons of flavor and aromatic characters. Aromas of fresh citrus and pine drift from the glass. A juicy guava taste fills the mouth with subtle notes of caramel, finishing with a snappy dryness. The Combine has arrived to do work, but only for a short time. Grab it while you can since it won’t be back till next season. Show Less

Hops: Centennial, Citra, Columbus.

On tap at Farmstrong, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma is subdued, with light piney hops, some citrus and biscuity malt. Flavour is a little more robust, with piney hops, some citrus and toasted biscuity malt. Rather abrasive bitterness on the finish. Nothing special but competently brewed.

16 oz "growler" filled at Farmstrong. Cool glass for sure! Pours a shiny bright golden color with a foaming head. I was worried the mason jar growler would kill the carb in no time, but it held up nicely. Cirtus solid aroma. Flavor is cool, and juicy hop content, with a low bitterness. Overall very refreshing. Impressive IPA here.
