Bottle sampled at Rohan, pours a clear dark reddish purple with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out blackberry pith and light sweetness. Flavour is medium sweet, with moderately sweet honey, blackberries and a touch of pith. Nicely incorporated fruit here. Very good.

Bottle thanks to mora2000. Pours with a deep, burgundy hued body, mild haze, nearly a slight brown tint. Good legs. Aromas are of over ripe berry, mild acid, waxy honey, slightly rotten fruit. Raisins, light pepper. Flavors are medium sweet, jammy, preserved black berry, canned fruit, jammy, raisinated, concentrated. Medium sweet, black berry, low tannin, medium-low balancing acid. Feels lowish alcohol for a mead with out a big balancing act. Medium-full bodied, black cherries, still, lightly warming.
