Bottle from a shop in Malton which seemed to sell antiques while being a deli too. Appearance - deep amber to brown with a thin head. Nose - toffee and nuts light marzipan. Maybe red fruits cherry ? Taste - more toffee nuts and marzipan. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long balanced dry finish. Overall - a nice mild.

I don't know why it's lost my rating for this one. I'll add another full review if / when I have it again. I didn't mind it and I quite like a mild but nuts not so much so my only giving it a 3 would have been a personal taste thing rather than a knock on the beer.

Cask-conditioned at the Lime Kiln, Bristol 29/6/2015. Medium brown in colour with a decent, off-white, head. Easy drinking, with the advertised nuttiness, some sweetish malts and a very gentle finish. Good.

Cask @ Grapes, Liverpool. Glowing clear dark copper with a small head. Has a grainy-biscuit malt aroma and taste with hints of chocolate in here too - all very tasty. It’s texture is good too and feels good in the palate.

On cask at Three Tuns, Dronfield - Deep brown body, thick beige head. Nose is rich and nutty, exactly what it says on the pumpclip! Taste picks up lots of roasted nuts, a bit of sweetness, and creamy too. A little bitterness at the end, very nice.
