A very special beer indeed, brewed for our first anniversary this Black IPA has been dry hopped with a large amount of some of our favourite hops (Chinook, Cascade, Mosaic, Columbus, Summit, Herkules) followed by adding a generous amount of Earl Grey leaf to the fermentation tank to infuse. Grapefruit, zesty and forest fruit aromas with a light bitter dark malt & subtle bergamot aftertaste. The blend provides the beer with a well balanced complex aroma and taste.

Mellow black pepper and Earl Grey twang. Generic fruits and a little pine. Smooth semi dry finish. Goes down very easy.

Keg at Craft. It pours black with a thick beige head. The nose is bitter-sweet, orange peel, bergamot, earthy black tea, hard roast, earth, liquorice and grapefruit. The taste is bitter, very earthy, black tea, burnt toast, charcoal, ash, orange peel, light astringency, pepper, mild treacle, pine, liquorice, toasted grass and varnish with a pretty dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty dry and charry. Not bad, but perhaps too dry.
