An accolade to a long and frustrating day. With a generous amount of hops and a low ABV, what better way to put a smile back on your face? A light golden ale with a heavy hop bitterness and flavoured with a strong fruit and citrus aroma.

Small white head. Clear deep yellow body with light carbonation. Fruity resiny gooseberry aroma with floral notes. Dry resiny wooden gooseberry taste. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel, slightly flat. Dry pineapple and wood aftertaste with resiny notes. It’s ok, but a bit over-ripe and low on anything else. (0.5l bottle, odd bins, Edinburgh.)

Bottle @ home. Clear golden yellow colour with a small white head. Smells slightly buttery, hops, malts, sweet. Tastes bitter and butter. That’s mostly it. Maybe some hops and somewhat grassy. Medium body, soft carbo.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 25/8/2014. Deep gold in colour with a decent, white, head. A sweet, malty beer, with some citrus fruit and a moderately, bitter, finish. Good.
