An accolade to a long and frustrating day. With a generous amount of hops and a low ABV, what better way to put a smile back on your face? A light golden ale with a heavy hop bitterness and flavoured with a strong fruit and citrus aroma.

Bottle shared at chriso’s May 2014 tasting - London. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a white cream head. The nose has rindy citrus and grainy pale bread. Light sweet flavor with sturdy bitterness, grain husk, lemon rind. Light bodied with average carbonation. Grassy bitter finish, lightly abrasive. OK.

Bottle at Chriso. It pours clear golden with a small white head. The nose is fresh pineapple, lychee, juicy pine, grapefruit and pepper. The taste is crisp, bitter, pine, varnish, resin, peppery, grapefruit and lemon peel with lingering very dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Crisp, bitter and rather quaffable.

Bright clear gold beer, good fluffy pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and crisp, semi dry. Smooth light malt. Motueka like floralness. Light marmalade and then a carbonated sting. Light finish bring bitter citric peel which lingers on in the aftertaste. Good stuff!

Re-rating on cask at the Cumberland. Much more generous and more-ish. Previous rating on 28/01/14 7+3+7+4+14=3.5 Bottle sample thanks to Lewis. Appearance - golden, bubbles very gentle and delicate, some decent lacing. Nose - pink grapefruit, some malt backbone. Taste - more pink grapefruit, some resin, still decent malt in the background. Palate - medium bodied with an oily texture and a fresh finish. Overall - quite challenging but the challenge leads into a reward.
