Extra Strong Bitter, brewed with a good helping of Vienna malt and British hops. 2 hour boil to give a glowing deep amber colour and complex toffee/caramel malt base with a lingering bitter and spicy finish. One for the colder nights!

Cask at the Kings Head, Norwich, 27/01/24. Amber to deep chestnut brown with a beige cap that dissipates edgewards. Nose is stewed fruits, herb, biscuit, toffee, dates. Taste comprises fruit cake mix, herb, light vinous notes, dates, figs, toffee, hint of alcohol. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close. Decent enough strong if a little harsh and unrefined in places.
