We have a confession. Strawberry Hells isn’t really forever. Because we brew this beer with June-ripening, British strawberries, we can only make it in the summer. So while it’s tart, crisp and well rounded, it’s not around for long. We could have called it ‘Strawberry Hells sometimes’ but it didn’t have the same ring to it.

Canned. Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is bready malts, some biscuity notes as well as mild zest and strawberries. Flavour is mild honey sweetness, some strawberries, graint and some slight biscuity crispness.

Can from Sainsbury's. Pale gold with thin white head. Not much aroma, flavour is fairly bland. A little fruit, maybe, but otherwise a fairly uneventful lager

Hazy pale yellow beer, light aroma of strawberry and hop. Tastes of bitter hop, a bit of tart strawberry. Not a lot to it to be honest, I wouldn't be rushing back for more.

330ml can from Marks and Spencer - Pale yellow, no head. Little floral strawb in the nose, taste has a dirtiness about it, not too fruity. Slightly cloying. Not my bag really.

33cl can from Sainsbury's, Bracknell. A slightly hazy straw coloured pour with a billowing white head; fruity aroma and taste, but not obviously strawberry, with the underlying beer being quite sharp and acidic. However, it's certainly refreshing and has enough taste to distinguish it from a fruit cordial.

Keg at Rose and Thistle, Frimley Green. Acidic floral aroma - wouldn't necessarily get strawberry if I didn't know it was in here. Cloudy pale gold. Very thin translucent white head. Medium sour, with a bitter edge. Citrusy but there is some strawberry. Crisp. Light-mesium bodied. Watery. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. A summer beer. Quite raw, could do with more overt strawberry.

500ml bottle. Minimally milky, faint yellow-ish, pale golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity aroma, hints of strawberry, strawberry yoghurt. Taste is minimally sweet malty, fruity, hints of strawberry, strawberry yoghurt. Monotonous, watery.

Can - Pours a cloudy pale yellow colour with a medium sized foamy white head. A tart fruity aroma, strawberries and a light grainy maltiness. A light sweet malt taste, a faint strawberry flavour but all a little disappointing. Nice idea, nice can. Not a great beer.
