Say hello to Cornish Best in bottle! Cornish Best (3.4% ABV) is our well-balanced, easy-drinking ale. For its strength it drinks much fuller with plenty of rich malt, toffee and biscuit flavours complemented by a hint of bitterness. A moreish, sessionable ale that’s full of character.

(Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 8 Nov 2025) Amber colour with foamy, tan head. Malty, slightly hoppy nose with apricots, caramel and orange peel. Malty taste with notes of caramel, a touch of chocolate, dried apricots and a balanced bitterness with slightly dusty/herbal hops. Light body, quite dry. Refreshing and easy drinking. Quite nice.

09/05/2026 - Half pint from the cask (now 3.4%) at the Lamplighter, St Helier, Jersey. Much improved on previous tasting despite alcohol decrease, so score adjusted up.
Old review from 2019 - A pint from the cask at the Horse & Groom, East Woodlands, Somerset. Aromas of malt. Tastes of malt & biscuit. Fairly average bitter.

[50cl bottle from Morrisons, Bracknell.] A bright copper coloured pour with a fast fading cream head and light carbonation; malty aroma; smooth malty caramel taste with a touch of spicy bitterness; and some chocolate in the finish. A simple malty bitter.
