12 fl oz can from Total Wine, Greenfield, WI. Drunk at home. Nearly black in the glass, small beige head. Roasty aroma with vanilla. More than expected. Taste has roasted malt in a smooth way, some vanilla, mild chco, hints of coffee, fruity elements in the seocnd row, some nuts. Low but present hop bitterness. Not bad.

12 oz. can, from the Advent calendar. Pours black, with a medium, tan head. The aroma is bold vanilla, coffee, cinnamon, pecans, and rye. Sweet and roasty, with an acrid bitterness. Medium body, biting, and syrupy. Fun and solid.

Flavor is sweet, rather thin, malt, caramel, bread, cocoa, vanilla, nutty, all somewhat artificial. Thin to medium body, average to lively carbonation, sweet finish. 131119
