Tried on tap at the Florida Brew Fest 2011 addition. It pours clear copper with gold edges and nice off white head. The modest strength aroma offers up a wort like graininess, pine and a thin layer of grapefruit. The brew enters with initially what seems like a pretty thin body bringing up some a firm level of pine hops, some grapefruit and then growing resininess as well as a little bit of slick sweetness. To midway it starts to seem a bit grainy and earthy with what I expect is the influence of the spelt. The moderate level of graininess into the finish helps dry it out some. This is a spelt IPA? This is pretty darn solid with hops far forward of the speltiness.
