Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed on a nice post-work evening. First beer from NE! Appearance is dark brown with not much head. Aroma is faint, nothing really there. Taste is malty, but not syrupy malty, nice grainy element. Finish is lightly dry, decent stuff.

Draught. Dark brown with reddish tint, creamy small beige head, doughy aroma, medium carbonation, thin body, slight caramel taste, abrupt finish with faint roasted malt aftertaste. A light but easy to drink brew.

Tap at Blind Tiger, Nyc. Nut brown color, good off-white head. Aroma has caramel and light toasted maltyness. Medium-bodied. Some caramalt in front, then bready notes with earthy hoppyness. Short, even watery finish. Simple.

Can. Pours a clear amber brown with a tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has sweet grains with a bit of nuttiness and a bit of a bread note. Flavor has a combination of sweet grains and bread with just a hint of toffee.

Tastes of caramel, chocolate, sweet malt, some roastiness. Medium body with a dry finish. Medium-light carbonation. Solid and very drinkable.

Can: Mild aroma of dried leaves, pecans, coffee. Clear brown, thin yellow head. Coffee and pecan flavor, a little better intensity, but still fairly mild. Neutral, neither sweet nor dry. Light body, easy carbonation. Quaffable and sessionable, but not too boring.
