Bottle. A- Malty, slightly nutty, subtle caramel. A- Dark mahogany color, clear liquid, beige head. T- Malty, caramel, slightly nutty, toasty, toffee. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, smooth finish. O- It’s a Brown Ale. Brown Ales are never really anything exciting. This pretty much fits the mold. Fairly bland and lots of malts.

12 ounce can from Beer Run. Pours a clear reddish brown with a medium sized fizzy off-white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of caramel, toffee, nuts, brown malt. The taste is nuts, toffee, mild roast, mildly fruity finish. Thin-medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness, low carbonation. Decent.

12oz can. A pretty solid US brown ale. Malty, easy going, clean...yet some decent depth. Nutty, caramel brown malts, maybe a touch of amber malt, all very judicious. Medium bodied, filtered, quite drinkable. Good.

Crisp light brown coloured body with a deep bronzed glow and a nice single centimetre tall light brown head. Aroma of light malt, brown sugar, nuts, earth and even hints of fruit with the slightest note of a hop. Medium-bodied; Assertive hazelnut and walnut flavours at first with a very light body, some light caramel sweetness and not much else aside from earth. Aftertaste is rather one-dimensional as well with the softer nuts hitting then some sugars - no complexity and no (this is good) bitterness or depth. Overall, a somewhat muted brown with a sweet finish and not showing the typical deepness or nuttiness of a brown, more soft and sweet. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Good Beer in New York, New York on 25-April-2014 for US$2.59 sampled at home in Washington on 03-June-2014.

A reddish brown ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet nutty caramel malt with light grassy hops. In mouth, a nutty malt with faint grassy hops, a tad boring. On tap at Beer Authority.

On tap at the Blind Tiger Alehouse, New York on 7th July 2013. Deep brown with tan head. Biscuit malt and nuttiness in aroma. Malty and mildly hoppy in-mouth with berries and white grape. Fruity finish with herb and bread notes - wholemeal. Zingy mouthfeel and easy drinking.

Tap @ brewpub. Dark red orange appearance with a small off white head. Nutty, roasty caramel malty, a touch fruity aroma. Low carbonation. Dull nutty, caramel, toffee, roasty flavor. A bit off but ok.
