Bottle. Pours murky coffee brown with large light brown head. Aroma is malt drops, cough drops, dates, figs, prunes, pomelo and grease ("fedte brΓΈd" and "klejner"). Taste is light to medium sweet, medium bitter and light acidic. Body is oily with fizzy carbonation. Finish is long and mostly bitter with notes of malt, caramel, bitter grapefruit, dark chocolate, burnt sugar, gravy and spruce. Nice aroma but a bit disappointing taste.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a hazy, reddish amber with a dense, off-white head. Very Belgian-style esters and a spicy note from the added coriander. Medium body, a fairly dry fruitiness and a solid late bitterness. Not a bad take on a Christmas beer. 211215

Murky brown, small light beige head. Malty aroma with notes of dark sugar and hints of coriander seeds. Flavour has more intense spice, malt and caramel. Too much spice, in fact a little watery underneath the coriander. Seems unbalanced to me.
