We don’t currently offer Cask Ales, but we desperately wanted a Best Bitter to enjoy with a Great British Fish’n’Chips Supper while sat watching the sun go down after a long walk along the beach with the dog.

This Best Bitter, inspired by our friends at Harvey’s Brewery (Lewes, East Sussex) really hits the mark! Crammed full of Progress, Fuggles, East Kent Golding and Bramling Cross hops – this cuts through the glorious rich batter and beef dripping cooked chips with a rounded taste of the Country Pub – albeit by the seaside!

We’ve tried a slightly different way of naturally carbonating this before canning which is good, but a tiny bit too good, so open with care as it can be quite lively (but you won’t find any sediment, so don’t panic).

Unfined, Unfiltered and unpasteurised, this delivers on our objective beautifully.

440ml can from MadebyMartyn.co.uk - deep clear russet body with a mad bastard white top. Big caramel character, malty toffee, tasty.
