On cask at Sheaf View, Sheffield - Dark brown body, thick tan head, that laced all the way to the end. The nose is what you would expect, of dark chocolate with a hint of coffee and a bit smokey. This stout has no real bitter bite, is slightly sweet and very smooth. For a Stout it is light in the mouth and leaves no filmy residue. Very nice.

Cask at the Coach and Four, Wilmslow. Pours black with a large, off-white head. Aroma is bitter chocolate with a little roast. Taste has some roast to start and a bitter chocolate finish.

On draught at the Piccadilly(??), Manchester. Brown pour with a reddish tint, beige head. Chocolate, coffee and raisin nose. Subtle chocolate angle, sweet malt approach. Nice.
