Third, on tap at Northern Monk Refectory. Completely back in body colour. Shiny naked surface, minimal lacing. Dark malty aroma with a touch of fruit. Flavoured with coffee, dark chocolate and a little twist of pine. Lingering dark malty and dark fruity finish. Oily palate. Dangerously easy to drink. Pleasant (Leeds Holbeck 07.07.2015).

Bottle. Curious Hop, Otley. Very dark, chestnut brown. Halo of tan. Leggy and slick in the glass. Fruity, nutty, coffee grinds. Some woodiness. Some privet leaf. Taste is earthy dry. Roast coffee bitter. Palate doesn’t match. Too thin, and watery. Finishes earthy dry, and vegetal bitter. Bit of sweetness lingers.

Tasted from the tap on the 14/06/2015. Deep dark brown colour with a thin tan head. Aroma of coffee and licorice. Taste is dark fruist, coffee and licorice. Bitter and strong finish. Next one please!

Keg at the hanging bat. Pours deep dark brown with a thin tan head. Aromas of coffee and liquorice. Taste is dark stone fruit, coffee. Bitter chocolate and roasted coffee finish.
