Nice piney spruce heavy beer. But it is actually crisp and clean Kalapinta Cefalu

Bottle at U Babbio, Palermo, 03/10/17. Murky amber with a Reddish hue topped with a big old beige head ... floaty things at the base shouldn't see those in an APA. Nose is straw caramel, biscuit, orange peel. Taste comprises bitter orange, straw, caramel malts, biscuit, bready notes, hint of red grapefruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with earthy hop bitterness. Passable APA but sub par for style ... old skool and lacking hop dynamic.

Bottle on balcony, La Plumeria, Cefalu, 4th April 16. Pours a copper colour, little or no head. aroma is caramel, bitter, slight iron. Taste is caramel, bitter hops, slight chocolate. Reminds me of Brewdog 5am Saint, very nice, not an APA, more of an amber

On tap @ Artigiano in Fiera 2015, Milano. Il gusto al naso riporta sentori di luppolo. L’intensità olfattiva è elevata e la persistenza olfattiva è discreta. Il cappello di schiuma è messo insieme da bollicine fini. La sottostante frizzantezza è data da bollicine fini dalla carbonazione bassa ma persistente. Il colore è ambrato carico. Il corpo è strutturato. La struttura è cremosa. L’amaro è deciso. L’intensità gustativa è elevata e la persistenza gustativa è buona. Il gusto è godereccio. Le sensazioni boccali finali sono luppolate. I sentori in bocca appartengono al caramello, frutta secca, luppolo, resina e agrumi.
