Bottle at home, 07/05/18. Black with a well presented light tan covering that retains well. Nose is mellow roast, light cocoa dusting, dried fruits, vanilla, toffee. Taste comprises light chocolate cake, roast malts, fruit slice, faint ashen tones, vanilla, brown sugar. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough easy drinking Stout if perhaps lacking some depth for 7%.

Bottle at Masseria Susafa, Sicily, 29th May 17. Pours black, with a tan head. Aroma is dark chocolate, cocoa, liquorice, coffee, roasted malts. Taste is rich, chocolate, cocoa, bitter hops, liquorice, roasted malts. Dry and not overlly sweet, great stout from a little village in Sicily, amazing.
