Cask (handpump) @ Nottingham Robin Hood Beer Festival (2014), Nottingham Castle, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England NG1 6EL. [ As Hales Black Heart ].Clear dark brown color with a average to large, creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, light to moderate hoppy, grapefruit, light licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, licorice, roasted, hoppy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20141009]

Cask (Nottingham Beer Festival 2014) - Dark brown in colour. Liquorice, soapy hops and malt in the aroma. Hoppy and roasted taste with liquorice, soapy hops, coffee and roasted malt.

Tried at the Nottingham Beer Festival 14. Dark brown with a tan head. Dark roast malts, chocolate and bread. Really nice beer.
