50cl bottle bought at the brewpub. Pours dark reddish brown colour with a huge most good lasting tan head. Aroma of dark malt, syrup, molasses. Taste of dark sweet malt, molasses, some chocolate and caramel.

Bottle 500ml. @ home on the terrace. [ As Bautzener Schwarzes ].[ Trade by Rasmus40 ]. Clear dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, dark malt, brown sugar, light bread, light roasted. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, dark malt, sweet malt, bread - cardboard, light roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150919]

Tap @ Bautzener Brauhaus. Clear very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and dark malts. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. 290715

* Old rating, 0,5l crown-top bottle, best before 15.10.05. Malzig-trockenes, zugleich leicht süßliches Schwarzbier. Feinherb, schokoladig, malzig, mit herb-schokoladig-trockenem Nachgeschmack. Nett.

Fruchtig-süßer Antrunk mit hintergründigem und sehr mildem Malz. Dieses wird im Mittelteil deutlich kräftiger, auch die bananige Süße legt leicht zu. Mild, angenehm süffig, im Abgang zu harmlos, wenig hopfig, leicht malzig-süß. 10/8/9/8/8/8

Bottle: Very deep amber coloured, presumably clear, stable medium-sized off-white head; sweetish-caramelly nose with a subtle fruity (dried black berries) background; moderate - mainly - sweetish flavour with a light bitterness, light to medium bodied; lingering sweet-bitter finish. Tastes like a good, slightly diluted Dunkler Bock.....
