Our dinner ale is a light bitter-style beer, low in gravity and perfectly sessionable. This table beer uses Styrian Goldings as the late hop, giving pleasant floral aromas with a hint of white pepper. This beer was inspired by the old Leeds Brewery, Tetley’s, and their dinner ale - a light, bottled pale ale, first produced over one hundred years ago.

Cask at Heidrun, HW, 12/08/23. Golden blonde with an off white cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is grass, orange zest, melon, soft malts, light breads. Taste comprises citric tinged straw, grains, melon, tangerine, soft malts. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow bitter edge. Okay easy drinking cask pale.

Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours a bright golden yellow with medium sized white head. Aroma has citrus and tangerine. In the mouth it starts off sweet and juicy with malts and traces of citrus. Later some bitterness (not a lot) comes through, along with floral hops and a hint of spice. Finish is sweet and slightly dry. This isn’t a bad beer, but it’s a bit dull to say the least. [ PS I would call it a Table Beer, but RB doesn’t acknowledge that as a style ]
