Hoplite Pale ale is proof that you can pack a big punch while being understrength. Combination of piney hops and chewy malts make this session drink so fearsome that it will make those sissy boy nanny states run for cover.

Utuisen samea, tummahkon oranssinruskea kohtalaisesti vaahtoava olut. Maltainen makeus taittaa katkerampaa otetta hyvin. Keskitäyteläinen suutuntuma, tosin siinä ja siinä lipsuuko vetisen puolelle. Toimiva ensitutustuminen uuteen panimoon tämäkin.

33cl bottle, thank you Kalle! Pours murky amber with a thick off white head. Pine, herbs, yeast on aroma. Rubbery notes as well. Flavor has pine, malts and yeasty aroma. Fortunately the rubber notes was not that bad after all. Well hopped, bitter, but quite musty.

Batch A5, bottled 15.7.2015, used hops in this batch Magnum, Simcoe, Columbus. A dark orange colour, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has some tropical mangos, pine, grapefruits and some soap. Taste is at least medium bitter, piney, soapy, only hint of fruitness. The bitterness is nicely long. Almost medium bodied, quite smooth carbonation. Slightly musty and wort like notes. Good bitterness.
