Hoplite Pale ale is proof that you can pack a big punch while being understrength. Combination of piney hops and chewy malts make this session drink so fearsome that it will make those sissy boy nanny states run for cover.

Bottle at Kahdet Kasvot. Golden amber color, small white head. Piney, spruce needles, hop oils, malts in the nose. Light-bodied. Crisp, pine, pine needles, grapefruit. Malt profile is thin. After nice aroma flavor is more ordinary hop juice.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - batch A1 - BB 01.03.2016, 20150419) The beer poured deep amber and hazy. Its head was medium sized and almost white. Aroma had fruitiness, creamy toffee, malts and hint of caramel. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, creamy toffee, sweetness, grapefruit, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, malty and bitter. A well done hoppy brew. Balanced despite the low ABV.

330ml bottle from K-Supermarket Kamppi

Batch A1, BBE 01.03.2016 (wtf?!) - Pours dark copper orange with a small white head. Aroma of stingy piney hops, resin, grass, herbal notes and chewy caramely toffee notes. Taste is smooth, sweetish and caramely with some chewy toffee, herbal and grassy hops and hints of berries. Finish is smooth, a bit caramely and piney with some hints of herbal notes and bitterness after a few sips. Okay.

33 cl bottle @ home. Batch #A1, BBE 01.03.2016
Aroma is resiny and malty with some pine and citrus. Flavour has some citrus, plastic tones, minerals and grapefruit. Also some vegetable tones. Finishes leathery and empty with mild herbal bitterness. Aroma was promising but flavour is a bit off.

33 cl bottle @ Sankt Hans Tasting, Ulfborg. Batch #A3
Aroma has cereal, grapefruity hops, minerals and some tropical fruits. Flavour has aggressive hops, grapefruit and some biscuits. The hops are that aggressive that they become a bit herbal-like. The vegetables are present also here but a bit more light than in previous batch. Better than the previous batch still.
