Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5
Keg at the Ascot / Disruption taproom, 04/03/23. Clear golden to light amber with a just off white covering that thins to a swirl. Nose is bitter orange, grapefruit, pine nip, toasted malts, melon. Taste comprises bitter sweet tropical fruits, hint of mango, pine needle, grapefruit, orange zest. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with juicy to lightly resinous hop bitterness. Okay DIPA ... there's just a nagging soapy note I pick up on that lets this one down a few points for me.
