Cask at the Alex, Derby. A dark black brown coloured pour with a halo of tan head. Aroma is earthy roast, coffee dry roast,. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, earthy roast coffee, Ash, wood roast, green pepper. Palate is semi sweet, dry finish. Chalk. Palate is semi sweet, highish carbonation.

Cask at the Alex, Derby RB bimble, 11/02/22. Light black with a decent tan covering that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is mellow roast, charr, cocoa powder, dried fruits, raisins. Taste comprises chocolate biscuit, dark malts, mellow roast, pinch of spice, coffee bean. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Tidy porter.
