330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, chestnut colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Dark malty aroma with minimally tart-ish, grainy, strawy, herbal overtones, hints of malt lozenge, a touch of caramel and nuts, a cautious, spicy touch of celery as well. Taste is dry, dark malty, slightly nutty, a sweet-ish, caramel malty touch on top, hints of malt lozenge, a touch of hazelnut, light hop bitterness, an even lighter, spicy touch of celery, allusions to Ricola Schweizer Kräuterzucker; well hidden alcohol. Watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Relatively light for a Doppelbock decent.
