Cuvée Grand Cru

Bottle, at Kristiansand Ølfestival. It pours an unclear, dark brown body with a small, beige head. The aroma has some sourish berry hints, with caramel, bread and nuts. It’s nicely carbonated, full-bodied and semi tart, with some bitterness. Mostly on the malty side in the flavor too, with some berries and bitterness. Lasting finish with a bitterness balancing the sweetness and sourish berries. Pretty nice this one, hiding the alcohol very well too. 140823

Pours dark reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, cherries and toffee. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter and light sour with a long toffee and cherry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottled 375 ml from a mate (Cat), sampled July 30, 2014.Vintage 2013.Clear dark brown color, small brown head. Sweet, ice-cream, light acidic, chocolate, alcohol scent. Light acidic, tart, dry, chocolate, raspberry taste. Dry raspberry aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, very low bitterness.Nice and fruity, dessert like.

Bottle courtesy of rlgk. Pours brownish red with a creamy pinkish offwhite head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of thick sticky lacing on the glass. Smell is sour and slightly fruity with buttered dark bread, red wine vinegar, moist hay, sour cherries, raspberries, biscuits, leather, lemon juice, barnyard, sour milk and grape juice. Taste is sweet, slightly sour, tiny malty and slightly fruity with buttered dark bread, grape juice, low quality red wine, barnyard, red wine vinegar, hay, raspberry and cherry hard candy, hay, dry soil, moist wood and leather. Mouthfeel is soft, tiny viscous, slightly sticky sweet, very tiny dry, slightly tart and medium bodied. Finish is slightly sweet, tiny sour, malty and fruity with buttered dark bread, grape juice, lemon juice, red wine vinegar, powdered sugar, hay, dry soil, sour cherries, lemon zest and grape skins. Too sweet, too artificial and basically a mess…

37.5 cl bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is fruity and mild citric. Cherry and light butterish. Fatty. Smooth fruity, sulphorish and light citric. Sweet, citric and sulphorish. Smooth finish.

Bottled at Linköping Beer Expo. Deep ruby liquid with small light brown head. Aroma of cherries, wood, fruity brett, toffee, almonds and a light vinous character. Taste is light sweet, light bitter and light to medium sour with notes of cherries, oak, toffee and raw sugar. Really balanced. Medium to full bodied with low carbonation and viscous body. Very nice.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity woody spicy berry raspberry aroma. Fruity woody slightly bretty berry raspberry flavor. Has a fruity spicy bretty woody raspberry finish.
