Cask (gravity) @ Nottingham Robin Hood Beer Festival (2014), Nottingham Castle, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England NG1 6EL. [ As Flipside Russian Rouble ].Clear dark black brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark malt, chocolate, cacao. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark roasted, sweet malt, chocolate malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20141008]

Cask at GBBF 2015. It pours black with a tiny head. The nose is soft, oily, liquorice, umami, salted caramel, charred wood and dark berry. The taste is bitter, oily, liquorice, fruit cake, charred wood, leather, toasty, salted caramel and earth with a dry, earthy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Oily mouth - feel. Old school imperial stout.

Cask at Watford Beer Festival, Watford, Herts. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a thin off white head on top. Rich dark fruit, coffee aroma. Tastes rich, dark fruit, coffee, slight chocolate, slight sweetness. Decent Imperial Stout.

Cask gravity at the St Albans beer fest 2014. Oliy black opaque pour with a halo of light tan head. Aroma is big earthy coffee, sharp roast, hint of smoke and some dried fruit. Flavour is rounded caramel and dark roast, apple, dried fruits and dark choc. Some hot alcohol and boozey whiskey bit nice smokey Islay. Palate is full and creamy, lowish carbonation.
