Draught @ [ SOPP 2015 ] @ Railway Square / Rautatientori, Helsinki, Finland. [ As Hiisi / Donut Island Sour Fuzz ].Clear medium red amber color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, tart berry, wood, light soured milk - vinegar. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, vinegar, sour milk, caramel, sweet malt - berry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20150723]

Keg at SOPP, Helsinki. Hazy mahogany colour, small head. Tart nose with raspberries and caramel. Sweet and sour with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Caramel and tart red berries dominates. Low bitterness. Uncomplicated and quite mellow.

(Keg at Bryggeri Helsinki, 20150603) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had tartness, berries and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sourness, berries, malts, caramel and bitterness. Aftertaste had berries, mild toastedness and low bitterness. A malty and weird oud bruin.

Draught@Black Door, Helsinki. Deep amber colour, small beige off-white head. Aroma is lactic, sour wooden as well as some slight yeasty and earthy notes. Flavour is raisins, acidic wood, lactic and some herbal notes as well. My first thought with this one was this something that’s intended being sour like this or something that by mistake got sour, as the sourness is a bit more the like of an infected beer than an attempt at a sour beer. Anyhow, the moments when there was a kind of cleanish Flemish red/Oud Bruin like flavour through was the best with this beer. Sadly that just happened during a few sips of it.

Tap @ Black Door. Deep mahogany, thin off white head. Sour berries, strawberries, woody notes. Flavor has sweetness, berries, strawberries, mild funkyness. Drinkable.

Tap at Black Door. Ruby color, steady creamy beige head. Tart berryish, sweet aroma with earthy notes. Medium-bodied. Sour, lactic berry juice. Light cellary notes. Nice tartness in the aftertaste. Has potential.

Draught @ Black Door. Aroma is musty with blackcurrant juice. Also hints of hay. Flavour is tart and somewhat worty with redcurrant juice and mild woody tones. Finishes lactic. A bit messy, these sour berry juices are not my thing.

Pours dark reddish with a small head. Aroma of bretta, tart berries, farmyard, sweetish ripe fruits and funky yeast. Taste is a bit messy with loads of berries, some tart bretta notes, farmyard earthiness, yeast and caramely malts. Finish is sweet, juicy, syrupy and a bit stuffy with hints of tart berries and loads of yeast. A bit unbalanced, could become better with age once bretta kicks in. --- Beer merged from original tick of Sour Fuzz on 30 Mar 2015 at 19:16 - Score: 6. Original review text: Needs more aging, bretta is really subtle.

Tap at Black Door, Helsinki. Colour is deep reddish copper with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Berries, currants, blackcurrants, sourness, some sweetness and hints of fruits. Too juicy but overall enjoyable. Has some elements of sour red ales.
