Our standard Oud Bruin that was boiled for 16 hours instead of 1,5h. This turns the beer into a more full version of the famous Oud Bruin and gives it more of a caramal touch.

Bottle shared by Tderoeck. Nose is cherries, caramel, yogurt, vanilla. Lovely, clear, deep crimson color with a fine head. Very tangy flavor, lactic acid, creamy, apples and cherry, lemon. Very clear, tart, a bit of tannin. Subtly complex.

37.5cl bottle share courtesy of Tderoeck @ Smoker bbq party. BB 20/11/2027. Note aigrelette perce en rétro. Palais de vieille brune, funk et effet sourish vinaigre sur la fin , le tout se retrouvant complété par une note grains plaisante effet concassé. Douceur boisée perce sans être surfaite, conservant ainsi la base funk de la bière.

Bottle @ home. Dark red/brown colour, thin layer of foam. Nose of red wine, tart red fruit, balsamico, wood, vinegar. Taste is medium sweet sour, very tart and astringent vinegar acidity. Bit too acid.

Thnx to Eric ! Pours dark , brown. Small mocha cream colored head, fades instantly. Smell is intense, glue ( not too extreme tho ) and oak, but I don't get the vanilla myself. Taste is intense ! Glue-like, but not too intense. Oak, very dry, bit astrigent, fruity, very wood-forward ( more so than the base version ) with a bone dry ending. Showcasing the oak, the acetobacter, and the fruityness very well. Maillard makes it a bit more 'fleshy' sorta speak. Towards the upper limit sour, for a balanced sour beer. Very nice beer once again by 't Verzet, even for me, and I don't like beers this dry. Hope to see a raspberry version of this one day !
