Keg at 73 Enid Street, 17/04/19. Black with a decent khaki covering. Nose is roast malts, spice, liquorice, syrup. Taste comprises chocolate, syrup, mellow roast, melted brown sugars, faint lactic tang,chocolate biscuit, hint of granola, dried fruits. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced alcohol. Ok impy stout but doesn't get out of 4th gear.

On tap at the brewery. Almost black with a tan head. Mild with dark malt, chocolate, some fruit and nuts.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a deep dark brown body that supports a tan head. The aroma offers up malts, caramel malts, prunes, dates and brown sugar. The taste starts with smooth sweet malts, brown sugar coated prunes and caramel malts. It just gets into more fruitiness with figs, dates and prunes into the finish. Nice.
