Oak-aged ale fermented on whole cluster pinot noir grapes
This adventuresome beer combines a recipe that is rich in pilsner malt and loads of whole cluster Pinot Noir grapes from Finnigan Hill Vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains of Oregon. Diverse microflora and a six month stint on French oak have transformed this unique blend to express bright notes of cherry, plum, green peppercorn, along with a warm smack of spirits, baking spice and vanilla.

375mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark reddish pink with a medium, quickly-dissipating off-white head. Nose is wonderfully funky, with lots of complex red grapes, wild yeast, and oak in wonderful cohesion. Flavour is immense, with funky pinot noir grapes, grape must, followed by oak, and wild yeast. The booze is certainly prominent, finishing hot, vinous and grape-like. Lovely stuff.
