PLÄKKI ON UUSI MUSTA.
Pläkki on elegantti fuusio tummia sävyjä ja uuden mailman humaloiden aromikkuutta. Pehmeän paahteinen ja avokätisesti humaloitu olut, jossa juotavuus kohdallaan. Yksinkertaista, muttei yksitoikkoista.
Nautiskeluun, Rahmanovilla tai ilman.

Appearance: Black color with a nice big frothy beige head. Nice lacing.
Aroma: Mild grapefruit hoppy, roasted malt, coffee and mild fruity.
Palate: Medium to full body. Tad sweet and a fine bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Mild grapefruit hoppy, rich roasted, coffee, chocolate and mild fruity.
Overall impression: My first BIPA from Finland. Thanxxx Rosenbergh! I really liked it. But felt it was more a nice hoppy porter.
Personal stats: Bottle from a trade with Rosenbergh

Bottle. Aroma is at the same time roasted and fruity hoppy. Equal intensities. Clear very dark colour. Stable head. Taste is fruity, plums, light roasted sourness. Overall quite strong roasted presence. Fruity hops. Quite nice balance, drinkable. Good beer.

Flaske 0,33l fra Alko Muonio. Drukket i Skibotn 15 Apr 14. Svart. Veldig høytbyggende mokkafarget skum som varer lenge. Luftig & kremaktig med mye lacing. Forsiktig kaffearoma. Smaken er metallisk. Hint av sjokolade & kaffe. Avslutninga er lakris. Bra - men mangler variasjon & fylde

330ml bottle, beer gift from Finn, many thanks. Oily pour revealing a jet black body under a creamy, bubbly, tan-coloured head with a solid stand and fair lacework. Pleasant aromas of red orange, liquorice and dark chocolate with the support of mild smoked malts. Balanced taste profile of earthy chocolate malts, orange peels and, again, a nice resonance of smoked malts. Roasted malt-fruity ending. Medium plus bodied. Pleasant, well-made brew (Tromsø 17.04.2014).

Bottle [from Euro Swap 4, thanks to tiong] @ home. Opaque pitch black color, full sized long lasting creamy brown head. Aroma is malts, dark malts, light to moderately roasty, liquorice, light to moderately hoppy, lightly smoke. Taste malts, roasted malts, slightly hops, moderate to heavy bitterness. Medium body, perfect carbonation. Not the best black IPA I’ve ever had, but very very tasty indeed!

Bottle 330ml (Alko)
Dark brown color, huge brownish, cloudy head. Aroma is dry - coffee, coffee beans, perhaps even hints of fresh wood. Medium-bodied. Woody hoppyness, simple slightly toasted maltyness, some caramel. Aftertaste has nice grapefruity hops. Could have a bit more salty licorice-roastyness to balance nice hop profile. Now leaves somewhat simple flavor to your mouth.

Bottled (from Alko Prisma, Vaasa). More or less black colour with a mediumsized head. Aroma is ashy, some roasted malts as well as some slight smoked wet wooden notes along with a bunch of fruits and resiny notes. Flavour is quite similar, and tastes quite much like a wellhopped Schwarzbier. Anyhow, this was a positive surprise as such, as I’m not big fan of Black IPA’s, but this was quite cool.
