Draught@SOPP2015. Black colour with a mediumsized beige head. Aroma is citrus, some roasted notes, a bit resiny notes and some sweet malts as well. Flavour is sweet malts, some mild roasted notes, citrus and a bit acidic wooden notes. The roasted and hoppy notes do clash a bit unfavourable for the beer in my books.

Tap at SOPP 2015, Helsinki. Colour is black with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, grape, citrus, dryness, hops and roasted malts. Excellent. Drinkability is MASSIVE.

Pours pitch black with a smooth brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, licorice, grassy hops, pine, resin and citrus. Taste is roasty, hoppy and grassy with some licorice, pine, resin and citrus. Finish is crisp, hoppy and roasty with lingering bitterness, some licorice and salty notes. Pretty tasty and balanced.

Keg @SOPP 2015. Deep brown color, thin off white head. Pleasant bready, roasty, chocolaty aroma. Flavor has wood, citrus, roasted malt. Dry, ashy finish. Not bad.

(Keg at SOPP Helsinki 2015) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had burnt malts, fruitiness and liquorice. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were pine, burnt malts, liquorice, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, burnt and bitter. A well done black ipa.
