Can [from Euro Secret Summer Santa thanks to VastActiv] @ home. Opaque dark brown to black color with a full sized dense beige head that lasts for a decent while and leaves good lacing. Aroma is malts, hops, dark malts. Taste malts, soft roast, hops, plenty of hops, hop and roasted malt bitter. Medium body and carbonation. Good black IPA imo!

Can - Dark roast and huge pine notes. Jet black with a rich beige head. Dark roast, nice pine and light bitterness. Touch of herbal minty notes. Nice and well balanced.

(Bottle, 60 Degrees, Helsinki Airport, 26 Oct 2016) Dark brown colour, almost black, with frothy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, dark chocolate, pine needles, grapefruit and some wort. Malty, roasted, hoppy taste with notes of liquorice, coffee, grapefruit, pine needles and a generous piney, citric bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well balanced black IPA. Nice one.

A colablack beer, a head is almost medium and blond. Aroma has tropical mangos, grapefruits, some liquirice and roastiness. Tropical and fresh aroma. Taste has roastiness, tropical fruitness, medium and piney bitterness. Medium bodied. The great aroma.

Tummanruskea olut vaahtoaa melko kevyesti jättäen kuitenkin kivasti pitsiä. Tuoksu tumman maltainen ja appelsiininen. Maussa kevyttää katkeraa greippisyyttä. Oikein toimiva tumman maltaisuuden ja kevyen greippisyyden yhdistelmä.

Draught @SOPP Helsinki 2016. Very dark brown, light brown head. Smell of hops. Aroma of hops, roasted malt, spruce. Strong but soft carbon. Dry palate. Quite light body. Taste is IPA, not so much black IPA.

On tap at Craft Beer Helsinki 2016. Very dark brown, close to black, with a modest off-white head. Fairly hoppy aroma, milder roasty notes, some pine and hints of citrus. Moderate to medium sweet with fairly nice mixture of hoppy and roasty flavours, but the hoppy side seems to be dominating. Finishes fairly bitter. Quite nice, but still not standing out from the masses.

Draught @ William K Tennispalatsi. Aroma is surprisingly fruity with some licorice tones. Flavour has lots of tropical fruits and some licorice. Finishes ashy. Foamy palate. A black IPA on the fruity side.

Jet black with thin creamy head. Aroma and flavour are strong with resinous, piney hops. Very bitter. Has slight yeasty funk too.

Draught @ [ SOPP 2015 ] @ Railway Square / Rautatientori, Helsinki, Finland . [ As Maku Black IPA ].Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, grapefruit. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, citrus, grapefruit, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150722]
