On tap at Pure Project - Carlsbad, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out lots of earthy rye, some bourbon and subdued maple syrup. Flavour is massive, with intense maple syrup, lots of bourbon barrels, but of spicy earthiness from the rye, and molasses. Heavy sweet on the mouthfeel. Complex and luxurious. Lovely.
