Cask at Cloisters. Pours black with a thin beige head. Nice lacing. Aromas of amaretto biscuit and dark chocolate. Taste is almond and coffee. Roasty finish. Nice.

Cask at Cloisters. Black body with a tight tan head. Faint lacing. Aroma of amaretto and dark chocolate. Flavour of almond and espresso. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft prickle of carbonation. A tasty, creative beer that delivers what you hope for.

Gravicask, 1/3 pint, shared with Finn at GBBF Winter '23. Jet black body, bubbly beige head, clingy lacing. The aroma is quite inviting with mid-sweet chocolate malts. Prominent taste of almond, marzipan, and chocolate. Drying close, sweet. A bit thin on the swallow. Fair enough. (Burton upon Trent, 17.02.2023).

Delt med Rune på GBBF Winter i Burton-Upon-Trent. Svart. Luftig mokkafarget filmskum. Aroma av søt likør. Smaken kirsebær. Hint av sjokolade. Lite øl. Mye dessert. Uvariert.

Handpull cask at the Organ Grinder, Arnold. A gorgeous black with a full but quickly dissipating beige head. Smells of chocolate fudge and almonds/amaretto which a touch of Gritty maly below. The sweet taste is dominated by amaretto, a nice flavour but too superimposed on the beer. Turns slightly bitter, even a bit tart in the finish. Thick tongue coating body and soft to nil carbonation. A reasonable flavoured session stout but that little bit gimmicky.

13/8/2018. Bottle from Brew Cavern, Nottingham. Pours dark brown with a short lasting beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate, amaretto (so almond/marzipan), roasted malt, light coffee and dried fruit. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, slight chalky texture, average carbonation.
