500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Black-Brown colour, biege foam head leaving lacing and aroma of amaretto, almond, dark chocolate. Taste is amaretto, biscuity, vanilla, milk chocolate, cocoa, roasty malt and dark fruity notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy nutty bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Bottle. Mitchell’s, Sheffield. Clear, dark ruby red. Slim ring of lacing, beige head. Nose has cocoa powder. Amaretti biscuits. Chocolate caramel. Amaretto liqueur. Certainly delivers on the aroma. Taste is mostly light, toasted almond and cocoa bitter. Some sticky sweetness on the lips. Light to medium body, with a bittersweet tang. Light bitter finish.

Craft 100 at Craft Clapham. Cask. Lightly hazy amber - brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and has a great crispness. Lovely condition. Thin dark malts with some artificial tasting chocolate! Trace of amaretto. Light dry finish. Condition is better than the flavour, something of a disappointment.

Keg at The Newshouse, Nottingham, Saturday 9th April 2016 with dad. Pours dark brown with a light beige head, absolutely tons of chocolate on the nose, really, really chocolatey, soft in mouth, very smooth and chocolate laden. Good beer. A8 A4 T7 P4 Ov15 3.8

Draft at Craft100 April 2016 - Craft Beer Co Clapham, London. Cheers, guys! Pours hazy brown with a light, tan foam head. Plenty of chocolate in the aroma (lightly artificial), with moderate roast as well. Medium sweet flavour with more chocolate notes, dried berries, some bitter earth. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, lightly bitter, with continuing cocoa and earthy bitterness. So so.

Cask gravity at Craft 100. It pours hazy deep brown with a medium beige head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, chocolate, orange, amaretti biscuit, rocky road, toffee and millionaires shortbread. The taste is bitter - sweet, chocolate, millionaire’s shortbread, chocolate, earthy roast, chewy malt and light umami with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Aroma is pretty great. Works well.

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Islington, London, 25 Nov 2015) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, hazelnuts, almonds and dark fruit. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, almonds, hazelnuts, coffee and a sweetish finish with a gentle roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty, with a generous Amaretto and chocolate character. Nice one.
