Cask ale, shared with Finn at Post Office Vaults. Shiny dark surface, pitch black body, poor lacing on the glass. Dark bready nose with a distant touch of chocolate. Roasted dark malty taste with moments of chocolate, dark dough and coffee. Prolonged ending. East to drink. Decent (Birmingham 21.09.2016).

Cask, gravity dispense at Oxford Beer Festival, Oxford Town Hall, Thursday 16th October 2014 me and Loz in the company of Grace & Ian Pours very dark brown with a few bubbles dancing across the surface. Light roasty stout but with a tangy and fruity edge and a dab of liquorice. It’s fine, only wish that the beer lived up to the name. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1
