Saison with pale orange hues and brewed with malted barley and wheat from @skagitvalleymalting and Hallertau hops from @yakimachief.

A break from your classic winter beer, Camellia has notes of tangelos, poneapples and lingering dried apricots. Expressing a chalky minerality and petrichor notes, it reminds us of summer storms in the Southwest.

375mL bottle, bottled Aug 20, pours a cloudy golden orange with a massive white head — explodes upon opening. Aroma brings out lots of rustic saison yeast, wild bugs, and some spicy orange peel. Flavour has a lot of phenols, with plenty of burnt rubber character — there's a nice bugginess to this, rustic notes, and spicy citrus. The phenolic character penetrates too much for me to overlook it. Flawed but there's a good beer underneath.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a near clear straw yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has earthy light fruits and a hint of sweet citrus with an oak and hay backbone. Flavor has more light fruit and light citrus with a touch of flora and oak supporting.
