Our friends at Bredenhof Hop Farm set aside an unblended box of Comet from Field 2 and Field 6, grown 2 km apart. Brewed and dryhopped identically, these two unique batches in the 4-pack, Field 2 and Field 6, highlite terroir based on soil differences, land-use history, proximity to riparian waterways and harvest timing. All that said, this is one special Hazy IPA we’re proud of.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Cloudy blond colour. This has a sharper citrus hop character than Field 6; it's off dry, moderately astringent, with correct bitterness. Good, a bit dirty.

16oz @ Ryan's. Appearance: cloudy straw with a white head. Aroma: tropical fruits with some freshness on the back. Taste: along the same lines, lots of quite aggressive herbal notes, moderately juicy, quite bitter aftertaste. Overall: a bit aggressive, but it's pretty good.

On tap at 33A, pours a cloudy murky golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out weedy, citrus hops, a touch of resins, some earthiness, and bready malt. Flavour is on the earthy side of the hop expression, with resinous hops, moderate dankness, citrus peel, and bready malt. Nice dank, weedy, moderately bitter citrusy finish with good balance and mouthfeel. Earthier than Field 6, but not all that distinct. Excellent.
