An IPA is a series that acts as a creative outlet for all things DIPA from Oss. A DIPA takes it up a notch.

In this batch we explore a slightly less dry, rounder hoppy beer. We chose a new (to us) yeast that's less attenuative, modified our grain and water bills, and dosed it with the same massive dry hop that all our DIPAs receive. The resulting beer finishes a little higher, with super aromatics and a soft mouthfeel - in short, it smells and tastes very yummy.

This batch of A DIPA is hopped with Lotus, Mosaic and El Dorado.

Murky pale yellow colour, small compact head. Moderate fruity hop character (mixed bag of tropical fruit, peach, sweet citrus); the flavour is a bit weird, there's some celery and tomato that twists the hop character; some creamy oats.
Good.

16oz (thx, Peter K.!) at Alex's. Appearance: murky blonde with a white head. Aroma: a bit weird flowery notes with tropical fruits. Taste: along the same lines with super weird notes. Like smoky, iron, some sun dried tomatoes? Overall: probably one of the worst beers I've ever tried from Bellwoods.

Poured from 473mL can. Cloudy yellow with small white head. Some nice tropical hops along with a bit of citrus, also a bit a chalkiness. Still enjoyable though.

473mL can, pours an opaque peachy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is very juicy, with lots of citrus rinds, tropical fruit, lots of pulp, some piney hops, and some earthy murkiness. Flavour has some hop burn upfront, along with tropical fruits, moderate chalk, earthy hops, and citrus rinds. Quite chalky, with a fair bit of hop burn, but at least there's some nice citrusy bitterness and tropical fruit. Good, but too dirty for me as many hazies are.

(Can) very hazy, bright yellow colour with a medium tall white head; aroma of pine, grapefruit; soft palate; rich, balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish
