Named after our fave French backcountry ski town, LaGrave’s rare yeast produces a rocky head releasing aromas of crusty bread and earthy spices. Our Triple Golden Ale carves out flavors of ripe pear, straw and black pepper with a dry, champagne powder finish.

Bottle. It pours a hazy orange color with an off white head. The aroma is bready with some dried apricot, banana and baking spice. The flavor is the same. Bready, bread crust, light bananas and dried apricots. Lots of nice fruitiness and more subtle spicy yeast. Strong alcohol presence and noticeable earthy, herbal bitterness. Full bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and a dry finish. Medium to high carbonation. The alcohol is a little strong, but not out of style. Very tasty.

I just tasted this one on one with a westy and it actually is not that much worse. From a corked bottle. Golden with a slight haze and lots of sediment. Bitter up front and a tad citrusy. Very good co2 prickles the palate. Aroma is just plain good beer. Could use a few more manners. Ye s, the finish leaves a bit of an astringent aftertaste.

37,5 cl bottle @ Sankt Hans Tasting. Ulfborg .Aroma has cereal, hay, sweetish malty tones and some fruits. Feels a bit musty. Flavour has non-disturbing alcohol, some cereal, apricot and some menthol tones. Warming finish. A bit fizzy palate. A solid tripel.
