On tap at Loyal Legion, pours black with a small light brown head. Nose brings out roasted malt, earthy hops, and some dusty dry cocoa. Flavour is rich and roasted, with lots of roasted malt, light cocoa, and sturdy cocoa. Great balance, with deep roast and adequately hopped. Excellent.

16 ounce can. Pours a very dark brown color with a small to medium brown head. A big dark chocolate and ash nose. Sweet initially, big licorice, some bitter chocolate, roast, finishes more roast and bitter dark notes. Very good. Earthy and fairly dry.
