No sure how much difference there is year to year. Had 2023 on tap, Strata, Simcoe, Citra at Topwire Hop Project. Clear golden with medium white head. Hoppy, fruity, some herbal and piney notes, smooth with solid bitter finish. Good, but not exactly hop explosion I've expected.

On tap at Von Ebert NW, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is much less dank than the original, with doughy malt and gentle piney hops. Flavour is assertive, with lots of piney hops, light dankness, and crisp biscuity malt. I prefer this to the regular Volatile Substance; it's less oily, but the somewhat harsh edges are rounded off even better. Excellent.
