A tasty farmhouse style beer blending a hoppy saison with a year and a half old cask of wild ale. The fresh portion was loaded with hallertau mittelfrüh and saaz in the kettle, giving the beer great grassy notes, while the barrel-aged but lends a slight twang and oak complexity.

On tap at Apex, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out rustic saison yeast, citrus tangy hops, some oak, and light bugginess. Flavour is buggy, with a nice wild character, rustic saison yeast, and… I hesitate to say… banana. Odd. The bugs and oak work nicely, and so does the rustic character. But the banana is an odd appearance. Good but seems like it needs some work.
