Fresh Hop West Coast IPA
West Coast is the best coast when we’re talking about fresh hops. And if anyone knows that more than us it’s our friends at Varietal Brewing Sunnyside, Washington and OddPitch Brewing in Missoula, Montana that helped with the creation of this brand new fresh hop IPA. Big thanks to CLS Farms for growing some fantastic Citra hops for our brew kettle and some piney, mango-y YQH-1320 experimental hops that we used for dry-(wet) hopping.

Can shared with others. Pours a clear deep gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has earthy citrus, light pine and a bit of bready grain backing. Flavor has a strong grass note with some hay, earthy citrus rind and a touch of earthy flora.

On tap at Chuck's Greenwood, pours a clear bright golden copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out a sweet melony, tropical stone fruit character upfront, followed by resinous hops, and chessmen malt. Flavour is bright, with resinous hops, stone fruits galore, some sweet doughy malt, and some residual oiliness. So fresh and lacking the usual bitterness of west coast IPAs while still packing a punch. Excellent.
