Bottled (from Alko Prisma, Vaasa). Deep ambery colour with some haze and a mediumsized slightly off-white head. Aroma is nice sweet maltiness along with some slight hops and quite much raisins. Flavour is sweet malts, some raisins, quite much bitterness as well as some floral and wooden notes too. Actually a quite good attempt at a bock for being a Finnish brewery. Not exactly spot on, but coming quite close. This surprised me positively.

Bottle 0.5l from local Alko, Helsinki. Best before 140115. Colour is brown with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Grain, bread, hints of chocolate and malts. Quite thin and quite bad.

50 cl bottle @ home, BBE 14.01.2015
Aroma is sweetish and malty with some vegetable tones. Flavour is also somewhat malty and sweet with some sugary tones, toffee and hints of butter. Hints of vegetables and grassy hops after some sips. A solid bock.

(Re-rate, keg at Kaisla, 20140411) The taste had fuller maltiness and it lasted long. Way better than the bottle I tried.
(Bottle, 0.5 l - BB 140115, from Alko, 20140214) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had chocolate and roasted malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, chocolate, coffee, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was a bit burnt, sweet and bitter. Flavours were surprisingly thin. Aroma was more promsiing. Old score: 2.9

A dark, reddish brown beer with a medium and beige head. The nose is malty with roasted ryebread and that’s it, maybe hint of fruitness. Taste of bread and wheat, some sourness and roughness of rye, some herbal hops in the end. Quite light bodied as these alcohol %, slightly harsh carbonation. Again, not very convincing beer from Suomenlinna, modest and carefull and even slightly unpleasant.
