Melting Orb is our New Zealand-style pilsner brewed with a blend of pilsner malts and flaked wheat. We hopped Melting Orb with Nectaron, Motueka, and Hallertau Mittelfrüh in the kettle, then dry hopped it with Nectaron, Nelson Sauvin and Motueka. Melting Orb was fermented cold with our house lager strain and spunded for natural carbonation.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear bright gold with a decent white head. Aroma is light peach/nectarine. Arguably med body. Fairly dry and lightly bitter. Flavor is light peach/nectarine with a few tropicals, and some mild grass/spice which seems to extend in the finish.

16oz can from Tavour. Foggy golden pour, small, tight white head. Grainy, bready aroma, light lemony notes. Taste is biscuity, grainy, kiss of citrus. Mild bitterness lingers along with a little dryness.

On tap at Bizarre, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out gently tangy hops and light straw. Flavour is missing something, with barely a hop character, straw and crisp biscuity malt. Finishes somewhat bitter. There's not really much of a hop flavour character. It's fine but the NZ hops aren't all that obvious or expressive. Okay.
